Not everyone has or will soon get an opportunity to admire the picturesque whereabouts of the Sauthern Pacific. That is why it is a very good idea to visit exhibition room of the Jagiellonian Library in 3 Oleandry Street in Krakow where between 12th and 23rd April every visitor will feel as if he was on vacation. On 12th April 2010, at 11:00, the vernissage of the exhibition Whereabouts of the Southern Pacific will take place.
The phrase folk artist is not appealing to many people as repetition, schematic structure and naivety which are always present in folk art might seem unsophisticated or even boring. It must be admitted, however, that this lack of interest might also be caused by the fact that folk art is displayed in a clichd and fossilized way.
This negative rule is broken by the exhibition titled A Patch of Sky. Paintings by Dorota Lampart prepared by the Ethnographic Museum in Krakow.
