This year, during the 18th Auction of the Great Heart, it will be possible to buy works of outstanding Polish artists even for as much as a few hundred PLN. This is an unusual occasion to buy works of such people as: Magdalena Abakanowicz, Jerzy Nowosielski, Edward Dwurnik, Jerzy Panek or over hundred other Polish artists, and, at the same time donate some money for a lofty cause.
On 21st November there will be an auction, the profit from which will be transferred into the account of Specialized Educational Center no 1 named after Jan Matejko in Krakow. This is the oldest institution in Krakow which helps children with special educational needs. Due to the annual auctions, the center realizes the program of therapeutic and rehabilitating trips, the living conditions in the boarding house have been improved and the center has been able to renew its educational base.
The auction will also be supported by the artists of the other areas of art. Actress Anna Dymna will be the hostess of the event and the guest star will be Anna Szałapak. The auction, which will be conducted by Andrzej Starmach, will take place in the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Konopnicka Street 26.
The works which will be sold during the auction are displayed in the Historical Museum of Krakow in Rynek Główny (Main Square) 35 from 14th November.
