Summer Film Shows for 6 zl

Admirers of the 10th Muse should definitely spend this summer in Krakow. Till the first days of September it will be possible to see very interesting films of recent years just for symbolic 6zł. Two film reviews have already started on 10th July. They are “6zł for Sztuka” and “6zł for Uciecha” and will both last till 3rd September. The Sztuka cinema (which is well known for its previous project “5zł for Sztuka) will show such film hits as: “Gomorrah”, “Band’s Visit,” “Kuka’s Advice,” “Burn After Reading,” “Juno” and “Milk.”
However, the recently reactivated the Uciecha cinema prefers to show the film milestones of the recent two decades: “Dogville,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Bad Education”, “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” or “Breaking the Waves.” It’s worth mentioning that Uciecha and Wanda are the two cinemas opened in 1912. In 2001 Uciecha had to suspend its activity but it has returned this year as one of the cinemas belonging to the Ars group.
The Pod Baranami cinema also has something special. Till 3rd September it will conduct its action “Tanie Kinobranie” (Cheap Cinema-going) – of course for 6zł. The cinema has divided its repertory into thematic blocks. Between 17th and 23rd July starts a poetic and contemplative block, then between 24th and 30th July it will be possible to watch some comedies, between 31st July and 6th August there will be romances full of love and tragic tales, between 7th and 13th August we will see the stories connected with numbers, between 14th and 20th August there will be a week full of strong (or a bit weaker) men’s films, between 21st and 27th August the cinema will be filled with sounds of music and finally between 28th August and 3rd September women will have their time.
