A Good Season for Cracovian Dragons

For the past nine years, during the first days of June, The Great Dragon Parade organized by the Groteska Theatre traditionally takes place in Krakow. This outdoor event for the entire family is very popular. Every year it attracts crowds of ‘dragons’ who invade the Old Town during this celebration.
This year the Parade starts on 6th June at 11:00 o’clock. Forty few-meter-long dragons animated by 1200 children will walk along the streets of the city. The parade, which involves not only the dragons but also the knights, ladies-in-waiting and jugglers will be accompanied by the sounds of drums and singing.
The highlight of the entire event is a traditional outdoor “light and sound” show which will take place at the Vistula Bend near Wawel Hill at 9:45 p.m. The performance will involve music, light and pyrotechnics effects so surely it will be a breathtaking experience.
On the second day of the dragon’s celebration the organizers invite everyone for a family picnic which will Take place at the Vistula Embankment near the Dragon’s Den.
