The Crossroads Festival, which already has many enthusiasts, will take place for the 10th time. This year, the leitmotif of the event is ethno music, which has evoked much interest due to its reference to various musical types (like Jazz or electronic music) combined with original sounds of traditional folk music from all around the world.
The leading event of the festival is the concert of a pan pipes musician, Gheorghe Zamfir, who is famous for his music compositions to various films, such as: “Picnic at Hanging Rock,” and “Once Upon a Time in America.” But this year Crossroads Festival also means concerts of various performers – we can for example listen to Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa, Gypsy Queens & Kings, Esma Redzepov (a gypsy diva), Maciej Rychły, Jarosław Bester.
The concerts will take place in Rotunda Festival Club at 1 Oleandry Street and outside at the Market Square. Apart from the concerts we may also expect plenty of accompanying events, like Serbian dance workshops.
