For the last day of school before summer holidays, the Małopolska Institute of Culture has prepared an original interactive game bearing an intriguing name “Dynastic Dominoes.” The game is going to be held as part of a bigger project called “the Ring of St. Kinga”, which will take place for the fourth time.
The participants of the event will have a chance to learn something more about the dynastic relationship between Poland and Hungary and about Princess Kinga herself. Every team of players will have to fill in empty spaces in the genealogical tree of Arpads and Piast dynasties by impersonating those historical figures. Throughout the game, the participants will listen to some tips, will have a chance to read biographic notes and listen to the introductory story portraying the atmosphere of these remote times, which will help them to deal with the requirements. The first team to complete all tasks will be the winner.
“The Ring of St Kinga” is the project which goes beyond the borders of Krakow as it is also connected with other places mentioned in the legend about St Kinga, that is with Bochnia, Stary Sącz, Dębno, Krościenko n. Dunajcem and Wieliczka. The program, apart from its educational role, promotes tourist attractions of the towns mentioned above. During the next five consecutive Sundays it will be possible to take part in five other interactive games which will involve trying out different official and unofficial Medieval professions, such as: craftsman, knight, brigand, or salt merchant.
Those events are ideal for family weekends as they are not only funny but also educational.
